Elite level collection! Thank you for sharing and some of the wise insights into what you have and why. Without question going to have to buy another bookshelf this year and you’re partially to blame for it! Haha great stuff as always Brittany
The insights are the best part. I have an extensive collection of Eastern philosophy and often, there is a story how the purchase of one book led to another. Sometimes the author is a friend of mine and I want to cheer and write a story about the blood that was split in their craft. My universe sees the world as a panorama of stories, some are single jewels of brilliance. Others might be the true "neverending story."
Thank you, Christina! Yes, in our digital world I guess this is the next best thing to actually sitting down in a friend's living room and looking through their bookshelves. :) Glad you enjoyed the post.
Excellent tour! Thanks!!! I am pleased that I have a good deal of those (and read them, as well!), but found new recommendations! I am a tad surprised you don’t have any by Ryan Holiday. Maybe a bit too basic?
When I travel I normally take my Kindle since I can fit as many books on it as I want. I try to take at least one book for light reading and one for more theoretical reading, so I can choose what I'm in the mood for. What about you?
Very similar to you. I always have my iPad with Kindle and audio books as well. However, I always take a physical book such as Meditations, Enchiridion, or Seneca. I like to always have a book on my nightstand as it serves as a visual reminder and touchstone of sorts as my business travel can get intensely busy at times. A minimum of a few minutes before bed sets my mind at ease and wake up to see the book as well.
I love that! Physical reminders can be so beneficial. For my most essential texts, like Epictetus' Discourses, I have both a physical and digital copy so I can get the most out of both formats!
On each shelf I sort according to height. I like the way it looks and it's fairly easy to remember where each book is. And yes I do read German, although I'm not as good now as I once was!
Some really intriguing titles here!
I have only one word for your list. Tasty! 😋
I positively LOVE checking out people's bookcases. Mine is mostly history, biographies, and strategy but this really butters my biscuit man lol.
Thank you! Have you shared yours yet?
yup! I tagged you

Thank you, and thanks for prompting the discussion!

Oh this is a great list!

That's true, I don't have any Ryan Holiday books. But no worries if you find his work helpful. I'm glad you found some new titles to read!
What an awesome collection. Thanks for sharing it!
Thank you Brittany
I’m curious, when you travel, what books do you take with you as a routine?

These photos raise two (completely unimportant) questions: how are these sorted?? It’s not by author or title. And do you read German?
