Look for progress where your proper task lies. And where is that? In desire and aversion, so that you may neither fail to get what you desire, nor fall into what you want to avoid; in motivation to act or not to act, so that you may not go wrong in that; and in assent and the withholding of assent, so that you may not be deceived.
